ROGUE WAVE IS BACK!

This Toronto Island outdoor exhibition of installation art will run online and on the ground, from September 28 to October 25, 2020. We acknowledge the land we are on is the traditional territory of the Mississauga of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and Wendat Peoples.

About Rogue Wave 2020: In the spirit of rogue waves – unpredictable, causing disruptions, affecting change, and with short notice – we asked artists to devise their own creative response to this theme. The exhibit involves 25-30 artists: professional, emerging and collectives. The works are site-specific, created or re-installed on the Island. Online on Facebook and Instagram there are daily posts featuring a different artist and their project each day.

Rogue Wave 2020 is open 7 days a week from September 28 to October 25 and is accessible by ferry from The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal located at the intersection of Bay St. and Queens Quay Blvd. Schedules available online here. Wheelchair accessible.

Rogue Wave 2020 is supported by City of Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation Division, Shadowland Theatre and the Toronto Island Community. Rogue Wave 2020 team: Kathleen Doody, Leida Englar, Warren Hoselton; poster: Rick/Simon; web design: Baye Hunter.
